Yvonne, the wife of Jo Davidson, was a fashion desginer. She founded a Parisian couture house that catered to a rich Franco-American clientele. In memory of his wife, who died in 1934, Jo Davidson sculpted this bas-relief which represents her carrying one of her models. (Source: Dossier of Musée des Beaux-Arts, Tours)
