Louvre Photo
‘Louvre Photo’ presents more than 300 photographs featuring the Louvre, its artworks, its exhibition galleries and its open spaces, as well as visitors both famous and anonymous, museum workers, hidden nooks and restricted corridors. ‘‘Louvre Photo’ takes the Louvre as a model, a subject, a muse, a source of inspiration and a starting point for reinvention, taking a step back and offering a new look at the museum, the institution and its collections – sometimes with a touch of humour and subversiveness.

In honour of the opening of the exhibition ‘Amazons’, the Louvre Auditorium is thrilled to welcome for the first time the Amazon of ancient music, as well as two of the most celebrated female French musical artists in the world! Emmanuelle Haïm, at the head of her ensemble Le Concert d’Astrée, accompanied by the soprano Véronique Gens, allows us to tread in the footsteps of the warrior queens of Baroque opera, or tragédie lyrique.
