Amenities
Comfort and convenience
The Louvre offers a range of services to ensure optimal visiting conditions. Staff members are at hand throughout the museum to provide up-to-date information on the museum and its amenities.
Information desks
Two information desks, where visitors can ask any questions to staff members and pick up the museum map (available in 9 languages), are located under the Pyramid.
Cloakroom
Self-service lockers are available free of charge beneath the Pyramid. Visitors are advised not to bring suitcases or large bags to the museum. All items left in the lockers must be collected the same day. The museum shall not be held responsible for any items of value placed in the lockers.
Please note: any items exceeding 55 x 35 x 20 cm are not permitted in the museum (welcome area and exhibition rooms).
Loan of equipment
Walking sticks, folding stools, pushchairs, baby carriers, multifunctional rolling chair and wheelchairs are available free of charge from the visitor assistance area (located beneath the Pyramid), in exchange for a piece of ID.

Free Wi-Fi
The ‘Louvre_Wifi_Gratuit’ network is available under the Pyramid and in the exhibition rooms. The free Wi-Fi connection last one hour and can be renewed as many times as needed.
Toilets
Toilets can found in the welcome area under the Pyramid and throughout the museum. Most have a baby changing table.
Car park
An underground car park is located at 1 Avenue du Général Lemonier, from which you can access the museum via the Galerie du Carrousel entrance. It is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Visitors with disabilities are entitled to a reduced car park rate – this can be organised at the dedicated area for visitors with special needs under the Pyramid.
Lost and found
Lost something? If you are still in the museum, head to the Help Desk under the Pyramid and a member of staff should be able to help you. If you have already left, you can fill out a report form on our partner website to notify the Lost & Found team.
Baby space
The Studio – a special area designed with families in mind, located on the ground floor of the Richelieu wing – has a baby space equipped with a bottle warmer, a microwave oven and a nursing chair… everything you need for a moment of peace and quiet with your baby.

- Available in 9 languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
- With geolocation tracking, to help you find your way.
- Key facts about the history of the palace and its artworks. Our tours are geared towards adults or families. They are also available in French Sign Language and audio description (in French only).
- May includes commentaries on the temporary exhibitions (in French & English only). Contact us for more details here.
- It costs €6 to rent our audio guide. One person can buy up to six admission tickets and rent up to six audio guides.
- Rental requires the deposit of a valid ID.
Book your audio guide in advance
To save time queueing at the distribution counters, you can book your audio guide in advance via the online ticketing service. You will be sent a ticket to present at one of the three distribution counters.

The museum shops offer a wide range of guides, books and art books, together with art objects, replicas and merchandise related to temporary exhibitions and permanent collections.
